Performers in the 1970s included Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, Van Halen, Elton John, Barry Manilow, Frank Zappa, the Carpenters, the Jackson Five, Helen Reddy and Stevie Wonder, among many others.
The concert will feature popular music from the 1970s, a decade that saw the rise of many subgenres including disco, funk, punk rock, soft rock and heavy metal.
The outdoor performance is free, and people are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnics. Monday, May 15, at the band shell in Ontario Town Square, at North Euclid Avenue and C Street in Ontario. The Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band will present “Music of the ’70s” 7:30 p.m.
